Current Fellowship Initiatives

Group photo of the fellows putting together bags and kits for the GrassRoots Project in Indianapolis. Our gastroenterology fellowship initiative is passionately committed to both patients and the vibrant Indianapolis community. In the spirit of giving back, our fellows enthusiastically undertook a volunteering effort this year. They joined forces to assemble a total of 40 toiletry and newborn care kits for Grassroots Project, a local organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced and vulnerable individuals, including refugees.

Resourcefulness was on display as the fellows collated items and secured donations from faculty members to acquire essential toiletry supplies. Coming together, the fellows crafted each kit, showing a collective dedication to community well-being. The culmination of their efforts was the delivery of these care packages to the organization's founder, Priya Gangwani.
