Trainees work alongside faculty to enhance clinical care and to progress the field of internal medicine.

Department Specialties

Faculty cardiologists at IU School of Medicine offer clinical expertise in the full range of heart and blood vessel problems, and treatments range from lifestyle modification to implanted heart-assist devices and transplantation. Specialized patient programs in cardiovascular medicine include heart rhythm disorder ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, coronary and peripheral vascular angioplasty, cardiomyopathy and advanced heart failure treatments, and heart valve disorders.
