IU School of Medicine offers a three-year ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology Hepatology fellowship as well as continuing medical education (CME) programs, and an annual GI Update course.

Gastroenterology Fellowship Training

The Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology offers categorical fellowship training as well as subspecialty training in advanced endoscopy.

Continuing Medical Education

The GI Update is an annual, two-day CME event hosted by the Gastroenterology/Hepatology Division at IU School of Medicine. The course features updates on recent literature in upper and lower GI tract, liver and pancreatobiliary disease as well as presentations on specific topics of interest to primary care providers. This course is regularly attended by more than 200 primary care providers, gastroenterologists and gastroenterology nurses.

Medical professionals interested in Advanced Endoscopy CME and non-CME courses are invited to attend the ERCP Workshop.

The 2024 Annual GI & Hepatology Update will be taking place on Friday, April 26th through Saturday, April 27th at the Westin Indianapolis.

Hoosier IBD Gut Club

The Hoosier Inflammatory Bowel Disease Gut Club features quarterly case conferences. Attendees engage in cordial discussions on three IBD patient cases. Experts share evidence-based insights on management during the event.
