Obstetrics/Gynecology Clerkship

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship is a six-week rotation that will give the student a basic knowledge of women’s healthcare. Obstetrics and Gynecology is a complex and dynamic specialty - constantly evolving in response to patient needs, treatment modalities, and socio-political influences - and its practitioners are fiercely loyal to women's healthcare. During this rotation, we provide students a foundation of both knowledge and skills in order to gain better appreciation of the healthcare needs of women. The Obstetrics and Gynecology rotation is a unique educational experience, which entails close interaction with house staff and faculty, and a hands-on approach to learning by doing. A physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology is often a woman's primary care provider, and with this in mind, students are encouraged to learn not only Obstetrics and Gynecology, but anything involved in women's healthcare in general.
