Your University account (formerly Network ID) is your electronic identity at Indiana University, consisting of both an IU username and an IU passphrase.
- IU username – up to 8 characters (may also be referred to as a “userID”)
- An IU email address – username@iu.edu.
- An Exchange email account – This is where your mailbox resides.

Do not forward your new @iu.edu email to another email host.
