Orientation to Clerkships and Career Fair

These events will take place the day after your White Coat Ceremony as an introduction to Phase 2 and will prepare you for your clinical clerkships.

Parking

Regional campus students who are completing Transitions 2 at a regional campus will receive a parking voucher at Orientation to Clerkship to use on Tuesday, April 29. This event will be held at the IU Indianapolis Campus Center. Please park in the Vermont Street garage at 1004 W. Vermont St. (hourly rates apply ). The garage adjoins the Campus Center by the second floor walkway.

Students completing Transitions 2 and clerkships in Indianapolis are responsible for their own parking. Please visit the IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services website and click on Student Permits for more information.

Orientation to Clerkships will provide an overview of Phase 2 and will share tips for success in your clerkships. Student colleagues will share their insights and recommendations with the incoming Phase 2 students.

The Career Fair is an opportunity to learn more about different medical specialties and prepare for your clerkships. Meet with representatives of many departments and specialties, find out what it means to be a doctor in that specialty, and how you can become a competitive applicant. You will also receive a box lunch.
