Did you know MD Student News — the primary means of communication to IU School of Medicine’s statewide study body — is a must read?
We mean that literally: it’s the only email newsletter you MUST READ. When you started at IU School of Medicine, you agreed to read it every week. It’s required — the only newsletter among the many you receive with that distinction.
Why is it required? Because there is often information inside it you can’t miss, details requiring your immediate action.
Here’s the deal: MD Student News should be your North Star. Your Alpha and Omega. Your Shining City on a Hill. When it arrives in your inbox at 5:30 p.m. ET every Monday, you should rush to open it like a letter from a long-lost relative.
Are we overstating it? Yeah, perhaps a little. But you get the point. We need you to read it — and encourage others to do the same.
MD Student News should be student-driven
We strive to have content that reflects the voice and perspective of you, the IU School of Medicine student. To that end, we encourage you to submit news, blog posts or content ideas at any time.
Do you think your SIG has a unique project or story? Is there a fellow student you think is worthy of profile treatment? Let us know about it.
Please try to submit news by the end of business-day Wednesday for the following Monday’s issue.

How can we improve?
We want every IU School of Medicine student, no matter their year or campus, to feel compelled by what is in MD Student News every week. Is there some way the newsletter can be improved? Email us and let us know.
