The Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases Pilot and Feasibility (P&F) program provides funding for projects that have outstanding potential to make an impact in the areas of diabetes and related metabolic disorders. The program is open to both new and established investigators from the diverse scientific disciplines at Indiana University School of Medicine and its affiliated institutions including Indiana University Indianapolis, Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University regional campuses, Purdue University and the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI). The objective of this program is to foster the development of a community of productive, well-connected investigators whose work leads to advances in the treatment of diabetes and its complications.
The P&F program is directed by Jeffrey Elmendorf, PhD, associate professor of cellular and integrative physiology, biochemistry and microbiology.
Applications for the next round of CDMD Pilot and Feasibility funding will be open by early 2025. The anticipated application deadline is March 29, 2025.
