Core Services

Four research cores serve as a vital resource for rich, collaborative partnerships and state-of-the-art methodologies that support innovative translational research at the Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases (CDMD).

The center’s research program is augmented by educational and funding activities that cultivate and promote leadership in diabetes research. Collectively, these programs link investigators, scientific discovery and communities throughout the state of Indiana.

Translation Core

The Translation Core supports research involving human subjects, including analyte measurement.

Microscopy Core

The Microscopy Core provides consultation and access to state-of-the-art microscope equipment.

Islet and Physiology Core

The Islet and Physiology Core provides expert assistance with islet isolation and characterization.

Systems and Informatics Core

The Systems and Informatics Core provides proteomics and genomics services, coupled with bioinformatics.
