The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship faculty fulfill their supervisory and teaching responsibilities in an environment conducive to educating fellows in each of the six ACGME competency areas.
The core program faculty consists of three fellowship-trained urogynecologists who are board-certified or eligible in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and one fellowship-trained female urologist certified by the American Board of Urology (ABU). Other physician faculty members include colorectal surgeons, urologists and gastroenterologists who possess qualifications that are acceptable to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) review committee. Non-physician faculty include physical therapists and a board-certified clinical nurse specialist (CNS) who provides administrative support as program coordinator. All program faculty encourage and support fellows in scholarly activities by maintaining an environment of inquiry with an active research component.
