Bio

I completed my residency in general obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine and subspecialty training in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas, TX. I received additional training in gynecologic fistula care in Eldoret, Kenya

I became a physician in order to care for women and I'm dedicated to improving their quality of life.  I am passionate about female pelvic health and fortunate to have the opportunity to combine my two interest areas; advocating for access to care for women and pelvic surgery.

Before becoming a physician, I completed a doctoral program in physical therapy and I incorporate my knowledge of biomechanics and musculoskeletal disorders into the management of patients with pelvic floor disorders.

I have been highly involved in clinical and laboratory research, some of which has received awards nationally.

When I am not working I enjoy traveling, learning about foreign cultures and language, exploring restauants, and staying active. I love listening to live music, going to dance or theater performances, and spending time with family.
