The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility provides medical and surgical care across the whole life spectrum from puberty to post-menopause. The division diagnoses and treats pubertal abnormalities, reproductive tract anomalies, menstrual cycle irregularities, and heavy and painful menstrual cycles. The division also provides transgender and menopausal hormonal therapy.
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility offers the full range of fertility care in conjunction with the IU School of Medicine Department of Urology and the Center for Reproductive Biology. This includes ovulation induction, superovulation, intrauterine insemination (IUI) with both donor and partner sperm, in vitro fertilization (IVF), elective oocyte cryopreservation, oncofertility and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). Microscopic tubal reanastomosis due to a prior tubal ligation can be done for the appropriate patient.
Working with the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery has allowed the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility to incorporate additional tubal surgical procedures for nonfunctional tubes due to infections or endometriosis as well as surgical repair of cesarean section scar defects, which can lead to improved fertility in a significant number of people.
