Application and Interview Process

Thank you for your interest in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. We are aware of the challenges you have faced in your medical education due to COVID-19 and recognize that you may not have been able to complete all the rotations you intended. Our standard procedure has always been to complete a holistic review of your application; although your clinical experiences may have differed from what you envisioned, our holistic approach will take these unique circumstances into account.

Graduates from an accredited medical school may submit their application through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). The Med-Peds program will only accept and review complete applications submitted in ERAS. Starting on October 21, 2020, we will begin reviewing applications sent through ERAS, and the deadline to submit an application is December 31, 2020.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be following best practices and national guidelines, which means all our interview dates will be conducted 100% virtually. Applicants will not be able to schedule official visits to the institution with our program. This decision was not taken lightly, as you will not get a personal feel for our medical campus or interact in-person with our fantastic residents during your interviews. However, the health and well-being of our applicants is top priority, and we are modifying our interview day itinerary to offer you the best experience possible!
