The Department of Pediatrics offers programs and events year-round to enhance the working and learning environment at IU School of Medicine and enrich the communities in which department faculty and students treat pediatric patients and their families.
Camp Riley is an annual summer camp program that lets children with physical disabilities experience life without limits and adventures that help them build confidence and friendships. Every summer, Camp Riley welcomes approximately 200 children between the ages of 8 and 18 from throughout Indiana and several other states. Campers participate in activities such as horseback riding, swimming, waterskiing, climbing and archery. IU School of Medicine pediatric residents have an opportunity to help provide medical care for these campers.
