Multi-Institutional Collaboration
It is an exciting time in pediatric rheumatology. Science is advancing rapidly in the field—with improved understanding of the mechanisms of inflammation, modern medicine now has medications to treat once debilitating or life-threatening diseases and give people back their quality of life. The diseases treated in this specialty area of pediatric medicine are uncommon or rare, and collaborative research has taken off.
