Pediatric Palliative Care

Faculty and staff in the Division of Pediatric Palliative Care at IU School of Medicine provide care for patients at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, the only source for pediatric outpatient integrative medicine and palliative care in Indiana. This pediatric specialty division also offers a one-year Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship. This ACGME-accredited program includes a dedicated pediatric track to educate providers in the holistic care principles of palliative care.

Palliative care physicians help patients/families communicate their goals of care with treatment teams, assists in complicated symptom management, and offers guidance in advance-care planning and end-of-life/hospice care when appropriate.
