More than 3,000 adjunct faculty members constitute a major component of Indiana University School of Medicine faculty and are critical to the school's success. This is the best way to stay informed about professional development opportunities, awards and special events that are available for adjunct faculty members. If you prefer to receive your newsletter at an IU Health address instead of an IU address, you must sign up here.

Faculty Affairs and Professional Development

Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (FAPD) provides more than 100 professional development programs and events per year. Many are open to adjunct as well as full-time faculty.

Academy of Teaching Scholars

Academy of Teaching Scholars is a program designed to help faculty build and share their skills as educators. It encourages faculty to develop skills necessary to become educational leaders and facilitators of positive change.

This four-session workshop series provides mentors with an intellectual framework for their mentoring philosophy, an opportunity to experiment with various mentoring methods and a forum in which to discuss mentoring challenges with peers and colleagues.

This is Indiana University's hub for accessing all of the university's online services. Quickly access commonly used apps (like Zoom or Canvas) and accomplish tasks (like checking email or completing compliance trainings) when you start at one.iu.edu.
