Conduct Education Research
Research in Medical Education Faculty Learning Communities
FAPD and Educational Affairs sponsor faculty learning communities (FLC) on educational scholarship in medical education research. The FLC is a peer-led group of faculty members who engage in an active, collaborative, year-long program, structured to provide encouragement, support, and reflection.

Teaching Awards and Honoraries
IU School of Medicine Faculty Teaching Awards
All full-time faculty and librarians of the School of Medicine within the statewide system for medical education are eligible for this annual recognition of superior teaching.
IU School of Medicine Trustee Teaching Award
Tenured and tenure-track faculty and librarians engaged in teaching are eligible as are full-time clinical faculty and full-time lecturers whose primary duties are teaching, including faculty in the School of Medicine who may be located at medical centers or be paid by institutions other than Indiana University (e.g., IU Health, Eskenazi Health, VA).
Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching (FACET)
Faculty across the IU system are eligible for FACET after five years of service. After a rigorous, peer reviewed application process, members participate in a dynamic, collaborative community of distinguished Indiana University faculty who are dedicated to and recognized for excellence in teaching and learning.
