The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fellowship program offers a two-year ACGME accredited fellowship in adult congenital heart disease led by Larry Markham, MD. The program provides advanced training in the management of adult congenital heart disease (ACHD), cardio-obstetrics, heart failure/pulmonary hypertension and transplantation, advanced imaging (cardiac CT/CMR), diagnostic and interventional catheterization, electrophysiology and cardiothoracic surgery in adults with a variety of congenital heart defects.
The core curriculum is a collaboration between the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program, Cardiovascular Institute, Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University School of Medicine. At the end of this fellowship, ACHD fellows will be eligible for certification in adult congenital heart disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
