Bio
Dr. Marcus S. Schamberger received his medical degree from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, serving as pediatric chief resident. He completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship training at Indiana University School of Medicine before joining as faculty in 1999. Dr. Schamberger is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology with a special interest in international health care and adoption. He is an expert in echocardiography (transthoracic, fetal, and transesophageal) as well as exercise physiology. He has multiple scientific research publications and is the site PI for several Pediatric Heart Network studies. Dr. Schamberger is the training director for the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program.
