Medical students interested in applying to the Vascular Surgery residency program at Indiana University School of Medicine must meet minimum requirements and apply through the Electronic Residency Application Program (ERAS®).

Minimum Requirements for U.S. Graduates
- ERAS® Application with Photo
- Letters of Recommendation (3 minimum)
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 Score Minimum: 230
- Number of Pass Attempts on all 3 USMLE Exams: 1
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation
- Medical Student Transcripts
- Personal Statement
Minimum Application Requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG)
- ERAS® Application with Photo
- Letters of Recommendation (3 minimum; 1 must be from a practicing physician in the U.S.)
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 Score Minimum: 230
- Number of Pass Attempts on all 3 USMLE Exams: 1
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation
- Medical Student Transcripts
- Personal Statement
- Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate acquired at least 2 months before anticipated residency start date
- Visa Sponsorship: J1 Visas only – no exceptions
- FMG applications must be no more than two years removed from graduation of medical school
- S. Clinical Experience is not mandatory, but encouraged
