Application for Plastic Surgery Residency

Medical students interested in applying to the Plastic Surgery residency program at Indiana University School of Medicine must meet eligibility requirements and apply through the Electronic Residency Application Program (ERAS®) and/or the Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA).

 

Our integrated program follows all integrated interview policies established by the American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons (ACAPS). The purpose of the ACAPS policy of this is to improve the efficiency of scheduling for applicants and programs.

  • The first round of interview invitations will be distributed on Thursday, November 9, 2023, between 11:00 am – 3:00 pm EST.
  • More information about the ACAPS policy and applicant guidance on accepting interviews for plastic surgery programs can be found on the ACAPS website.

Additional Application Requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG):

In addition to the ACAPS Integrated interview policy mentioned above, FMG applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate acquired at least 60 days prior to the start of residency.
  • You must not be more than 2 years removed from medical school training.
    • Clinical experience during the medical school training period and anticipated residency start date is strongly encouraged.
  • We will only sponsor J1 visas – no exceptions.
