Application for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Training Program

The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery offers a six-year integrated training program. Two residents per year are accepted for the six-year integrated training program. Those interested in applying to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program at Indiana University School of Medicine must meet eligibility requirements and apply through the Electronic Residency Application Program (ERAS®) and/or the Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA)

Our integrated program follows all integrated interview policies established by the American Council of Educators in Plastic Surgery (ACEPS). The purpose of the ACEPS policy is to improve the efficiency of scheduling for applicants and programs.

  • The first round of interview invitations will be distributed on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, between 12–3 p.m. EST.
  • More information about the ACEPS policy and applicant guidance on accepting interviews for plastic surgery programs can be found on the ACEPS website.

Additional Application Requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG):

In addition to the ACAPS Integrated interview policy mentioned above, FMG applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate acquired at least 60 days prior to the start of residency.
  • You must not be more than two years removed from medical school training.
    • Clinical experience during the medical school training period and anticipated residency start date is strongly encouraged.
