Inclusive Excellence Resident Scholar 

The Inclusive Excellence Resident Scholar program is open to all IU School of Medicine residents and fellows, with focus on those whose experiences and perspectives promote health equity and exemplify inclusive excellence. 

  • A $2,500 resident scholar award may be used over two years during residency or fellowship. The award may be used for project costs or dissemination efforts.

  • The scholarly projects can be basic science, clinical, behavioral, quality improvement or community-engaged research, as well as medical education or service-learning in nature.

  • Scholars are expected to submit their work to the annual IU School of Medicine Education Day.


The application deadline is Sunday, Oct. 13. Applicants will be notified of the status of their proposals by the middle of October.

Eligibility

  • IU School of Medicine resident or fellow
  • Must submit project proposal, mentorship plan and letter of recommendation

  • Inclusive Excellence Resident Scholar program is open to all residents and fellows with focus on those whose experiences and perspectives promote health equity and exemplify inclusive excellence. Selection criteria was developed in alignment with IU School of Medicine’s strategic plan.
