These resources are designed to provide information on physician risk for violence, including defining workplace violence as it pertains to physicians and how to identify risk for violence in themselves and/or colleagues, and what to do to help assure the safety of themselves and others.
UPMC WELL Toolkit: Risk for Violence Resources
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) WELL Toolkit "was designed for physicians by physicians, with content that is evidence-based and specific to physicians and the practice of medicine." It speaks directly to ACGME requirements for well-being in a meaningful way.
UPMC identified two primary goals of the Risk for Violence Section:
- provide background on violence as it pertains to physicians and medical settings, and
- remind learners of what to do if they, or someone they know, are at risk for violence.
