Office for Research Imaging

The Office for Research Imaging is a joint effort between the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and the experts at the Indiana Institute for Biomedical Imaging Sciences. The office is dedicated to supporting IU School of Medicine investigators and their staff through the use of biomedical imaging in research and clinical trials. The office successfully plans and implements complex imaging protocols within the vast resources offered between the IU Health and IU School of Medicine centers and vast hospital network.

Supporting Local Research

Today’s research leads to tomorrow’s treatment. The office supports research and clinical trials at local centers and hospitals, including the Indiana Institute for Biomedical Imaging Sciences, IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, University Hospital, Riley Children’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital and the IU Health Neuroscience Center. With the reinforcement of clinical and research support staff, the Office for Research Imaging provides world-class imaging support to collaborative subject-matter experts.

Register a New Clinical Research Study

All studies utilizing radiologic imaging resources for research purposes must register their studies with the Office for Research Imaging. Each study will be reviewed for feasibility and startup requirements. To obtain research pricing, radiation safety support, site qualification support and begin the study setup process please register a new clinical study with the Office for Research Imaging.
