Palliative Medicine

Palliative Medicine is specialized medical care that helps patients facing serious illnesses, as well as their families, by adding an extra layer of support. Palliative medicine physicians from IU School of Medicine, along with a multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers, nurses, chaplains and social workers, provide compassionate specialized medical care to improve quality of life for patients and their families as they cope with serious illness.

Palliative medicine faculty and fellows serve at multiple sites across Indianapolis, including IU Health's Methodist and University Hospitals, Eskenazi Hospital, and the Roudebush VA Medical Center.
