Education Programs

The Department of Urology at IU School of Medicine works collaboratively with its clinical partners to train the next generation of healers through the expertise of physician educators. Department faculty provide MD coursework as well as advanced training through a five-year residency and several fellowship programs.

MD Training

Medical students with an interest in urology may choose to pursue a variety of clinical electives including adult oncology, pediatric urology, gender-affirming surgery, robotic surgery, and community urology. Visiting medical students are always welcome to apply.

Residency

The Urology Residency at Indiana University School of Medicine is a competitive five-year program emphasizing clinical and surgical care of pediatric and adult patients.

Fellowships

The Department of Urology at IU School of Medicine offers four fellowship programs for subspecialty study: urologic oncology, pediatric urology, endourology and minimally invasive urology.
