Postdoctoral Training

Postdoctoral opportunities in a broad range of research areas are available in the Department of Psychiatry at IU School of Medicine. These postdoctoral fellowship programs enable students to develop advanced skills in clinical psychology and integrated research. Students also complete requirements for HSPP endorsement.

Addiction Psychology

The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Addiction trains clinical psychologists with a specialty in substance use disorders, including both clinical and research applications in youth and adult populations. The fellowship is a one-year appointment with the potential for an additional one-year reappointment.

Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center Fellowship

The clinical psychology postdoctoral fellowship at the Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center offers several positions each year to help trainees develop advanced skills in the practice of clinical psychology and integrate research and clinical services in hospital settings.

Clinical Health Psychology

The Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship offers a one-year program to train clinical health psychologists to serve a diverse and complex population of medically ill patients at IU Methodist Hospital.

Clinical Neuropsychology

Clinical Neuropsychology

The Clinical Neuropsychology Program educates and trains doctoral-level psychologists in brain-behavior relationships and the competent and ethical practice of clinical neuropsychology.

Pediatric Pain Psychology

The Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Pain trains clinical pediatric psychologists with a specialty in pediatric pain, including both clinical and research applications. Clinical pediatric psychologists with this type of specialized training are in short supply, especially in the state of Indiana.

Integrated Primary Care

The Integrated Primary Care Fellowship is housed within the Changing Health Outcomes through Integrated Care Excellence (CHOICE) program. CHOICE provides accessible behavioral health services to the IU Health primary care population in four large primary care practices in the greater Indianapolis area.
