Information about living and working in Indianapolis

For those outside the area, the most frequently asked questions are about the city of Indianapolis and the lifestyle offered here. Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana, and it is one of the most affordable big cities in the United States. The 2019 population of the area was 876,862. Interstate 465 goes completely around the city, making it an efficient way to travel and offering easy access to Chicago and Louisville and Lexington in Kentucky. Visit Indy is a great resource about living and working in the Indianapolis area.
