Lower Extremity Adult Reconstruction fellows have ample opportunities to learn outside of clinical experiences. Weekly Friday conferences with department faculty and fellows provide real-world learning opportunities. Didactics also occur each Friday morning following the OKU Hip & Knee Book and the AAHKS FOCAL Curriculum.
Fellows are expected to attend the following conferences and didactics:
- AAHKS annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.
- ICJR Revision Hip and Knee Course in June at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
- Transition changeover lab in Charlottesville, VA, with University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University fellows at the beginning and end of the year.
- Annual Garceau-Wray Lectureship, hosted by the department in Indianapolis, in which fellows are expected to present their highest-quality research.
