Movement Disorders

The Department of Neurology’s interdisciplinary team of movement disorder specialists at Indiana University School of Medicine care for patients with a variety of involuntary abnormal movements, including tremor, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson's disease, Tourette syndrome, dystonia and tardive dyskinesia. In collaboration with the IU School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery, the IU Deep Brain Stimulation Program provides surgical therapy for patients with Parkinson Disease, essential tremor and dystonia.

Department of Neurology faculty are active in educating students, residents and fellows about movement disorders and provide yearly educational symposiums for people with Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.
