Emergency Radiology Research
Emergency Radiology at Indiana University School of Medicine conducts research in a variety of imaging modalities, including: imaging of bowel and mesenteric injuries; quality and dose reduction; use of advanced computed tomography (CT) techniques for soft tissue injury quantification; CT to quantify the magnitude of soft tissue injury and extravascular blood products in the setting of multi-system trauma; use of multi-phase CT for the quantification of active bleeding rate in the setting of blunt abdominopelvic trauma; and, imaging utilization in the setting of blunt neck injuries.
