Recently, Sound Medicine faculty co-hosts gathered for a round table recording session to discuss the most important health and medicine stories of 2010. Our co-hosts include Steve Bogdewic, Ph.D., David Crabb, M.D., Kathy Miller, M.D., and Eric Meslin, Ph.D.
Family therapist Dr. Steve Bogdewic will start the conversation with the topic of health care reform.
Breast cancer specialist Dr. Kathy Miller will talk about obesity and diabetes and explain how these problems affect the care she provides her patients.
Dr. David Crabb will discuss the H1N1 (aka swine flu) pandemic, which the WHO declared over in the fall of 2010. Dr. Crabb chairs the Department of Medicine at the IU School of Medicine.
Indiana University bioethicist Dr. Eric Meslin will discuss the recent discovery of a syphilis experiment on prisoners in 1940’s Guatemala. Dr. Meslin directs the IU Center for Bioethics.
