<p>This weekend, Oct. 3 and 4, Sound Medicine host Barbara Lewis will present a special broadcast of excepts from a health care reform debate held before an audience of medical students.</p>

This Week on Sound Medicine — Oct. 4

The debate was on Sept. 11 at the Indiana University School of Medicine on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus. Speakers and the panel included policy experts, a health insurance executive and Indiana State Health Commissioner Judith Monroe, M.D. Medical students in attendance and participating via webcast presented an array of questions to the panel.

In this week’s Sound Medicine “Checkup,” Jeremy Shere, Ph.D., will explore the appendix and if it is a useless organ.
