IU School of Medicine–South Bend hosts a series of popular events for students and the community.
Medicine Ball
For more than 10 years, the Medicine Ball has been the premier fundraiser at IU School of Medicine–South Bend and the best opportunity for members of the medical community to catch up with old friends and colleagues. The event also has raised more than $2.2 million in scholarship funds for medical students. Proceeds also support faculty research, capital development projects, and the Navari Student Outreach Clinic.
Outstanding Physician of the Year
Each year, IU School of Medicine–South Bend faculty and supporters nominate a clinical faculty member as Outstanding Physician of the Year. The annual award honors a physician who has worked closely with medical students in South Bend and whose work in community engagement and excellence in practice exemplifies the physician-teacher.
