Partnerships with universities and hospitals in the South Bend area allow IU School of Medicine students at this campus to benefit from early clinical exposure and diagnostic skills practice. Physicians, residents and hospital personnel are easily accessible to medical students and provide informal clinical training and advice on career planning.
Partnerships with local physicians, clinics and hospitals provide students at IU School of Medicine-South Bend the opportunity to learn patient care through one-on-one, hands-on experiences. Students find that the spectrum of needs allows them to become familiar with both the well patient and the critically ill. Guided clinical education is augmented by opportunities in the Navari Student Outreach Clinic, which provides free health care for low-income and uninsured local residents.
