INDIANAPOLIS — The yellow flashing light on Riley Hospital Drive will be changed to a red flashing light on April 17 to enhance pedestrian safety, the Indiana University Police Department Indianapolis has announced.
The light is is at the main entrance to the Riley Outpatient Center. With the addition of green space west of Riley Hospital Drive and the opening of Eskenazi Hospital, pedestrian traffic has increased in that area.
The blinking red light will require vehicles to come to a full stop, rather than slowing as they would for the blinking yellow caution light.
