<p>The Indiana University School of Medicine &#8220;Mini Medical School,&#8221; a program for the public, students, faculty and lifelong learners, will be conducted in four weekly sessions beginning Feb. 18.</p>

Public Invited to Mini Medical School beginning Feb. 18

The program is hosted by the IU School of Medicine, its Faculty Community Relations Committee and the IU National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health.

The classes:

Feb. 18, 6:30 to 9 p.m. – Help celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Sound Medicine by participating in a living taping at WFYI-FM studios at 1630 N. Meridian Street.

Feb. 24, 7 to 9 p.m. — Hands-on experiences in the country’s largest and newest Medical Simulation Center at Fairbanks Hall, 340 W. 10th Street.

March 3, 7 to 9 p.m. – “The Aging Brain and Gender Differences in Coping and Managing,” presented by Drs. Mary Guerriero Austrom and Malaz Boustani of the IU School of Medicine Center for Aging Research. This session will be at the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Blvd., room 405.

March 10, 7 to 9 p.m. – “Why Are We Getting Fatter?” A presentation by Dr. Ann Zerr of the IU National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, and Dr. Sara Blackburn, associate professor of clinical nutrition in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. The location is IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Blvd., room 405.
