About Kenya
Kenya Troutman currently serves as the faculty HR team lead at the IU School of Medicine Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. Kenya joined the team in November 2021. A proud alumna of IU Bloomington, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, with a specialization in human resources management. Furthering her education, she obtained a graduate certificate in human resource development from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. Her professional journey includes roles as a recruiter and, more recently, as an HR representative for IU.
Kenya excels in delivering comprehensive HR guidance across a spectrum of topics and functions, ensuring clear communication and interpretation of faculty human resource policies, procedures and standards. She meticulously oversees academic eDocs, faculty offers and various other transactions, always aligning with the latest policies and procedures. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Kenya cherishes her free time, dedicating it to baking, quality family moments and exploring new places through travel.
