Match Day

Message from the Class of 2018 about Match Day
Match Day is just under seven weeks away! We have worked so hard and now it is time to celebrate (and make some big decisions …but mostly celebrate). Look out for events leading up to the big day.

If you haven’t already, be sure to complete the graduation form so all of your information can be included in the graduation slide show, program and class composite.

Order your free Match Day shirt by Feb. 19
Shirts will be passed out during the first two weeks of March. Class officers want this to be a gift to everyone that has made this class so special. Please join in the class unity and plan to wear this shirt on Match Day! View the design and submit your order before Feb. 19.

Submit your photos to be shown in Match Day slideshow
We would love to show off our class on Match Day but we need your help! Please email pictures from your medical school journey to iusmclassof2018@gmail.com so we can include it in a slide show to play during Match Day. Note: You can send any picture, but it is not guaranteed to be included in the slide show.

Take the Strategic Student Survey (S3) to qualify for $2,500 towards graduation expenses
Help us get more money for Match Day fun! Please complete this 3 – 5 minute survey! As a part of their gratitude for your feedback, IU School of Medicine will directly cover $2,500 of Match Day or graduation expenses if our class reaches 80 percent survey completion before the close date on Feb. 9. We’re already at 60 percent so we’re almost there!

Message from Dr. Emily Walvoord and the MSE team
Wow! What an exciting time in your life! You are almost finished with medical school and will become a full-fledged medical doctor in a few short months. We also realize, however, that this is may be an anxious time with Match Day just around the corner.

We are here to help you in any way that we can. Please reach out to your mentors, advisors and of course the Office of Student Affairs for advice on compiling your rank list, second looks, last minute preparations for residency or anything else that is on your mind.

We are so proud of you all and excited for you to take the next steps on your journey to fantastic and fulfilling careers in medicine.

All the best,
Dr. Emily Walvoord and your MSE team
