Mingle with classmates and fellow alumni in town early for Medical Alumni Weekend during an open-house-style reception at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing. The area surrounding the hotel, Keystone at the Crossing, offers numerous restaurants that take reservations. Consider joining us before or after dinner with your classmates.

$20/per person. Hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine are included in admission.

Tour Options (pick one)

Buses for both tours depart the Sheraton at 8:00 am and return at 11:30 am.

Option A - Campus Walking Tour with a Faculty Lecture
Hop on a bus and head to campus for a tour and an IU School of Medicine faculty lecture. The tour includes stops at the anatomy lab, the surgical skills lab, and the Ruth Lilly Library.

Option B- Eskenazi Hospital (Formerly Wishard/Marion County General) Guided Walking Tour
Partnering with Indiana University School of Medicine, Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Eskenazi Hospital opened in 2013, replacing Wishard Memorial Hospital.

Dinner and a Show

Reception:  6:30 pm – 7 pm

Following breakfast, stay for an engaging and informative panel discussion with current IU medical students as they provide insights into what medical school is like today.

Strawberry Shortcake Luncheon

Join us for the 77th annual Strawberry Shortcake Luncheon as we honor this year’s recipients of the Distinguished Medical Alumni Award; George Sorrells, Jr., MD, Community Physician Award; Early Career Achievement Award; and the Glenn W. Irwin, Jr., MD, Distinguished Faculty Award. This time-honored tradition has been a highlight of Medical Alumni Weekend ever since IU physicians were first served the cream and crimson treat in 1947.

Admission is $15/per person.

Hear a presentation and view renderings of the new state-of-the-art facilities, which will transform how we train future generations of physicians while also providing our scientists with much-needed lab space to continue and expand their research focused on improving health.

Celebrating the classes of 1983, 1984, 1973 and 1974.

Reconnect with classmates over dinner. You and your classmates will gather for a reception prior to enjoying a three-course meal in a private room at the Sheraton Hotel.

The Golden Anniversary Dinner

All alumni from 1972 and before will gather for a three-course meal in a ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel.

Admission is $85/per person. Meal and drinks, including beer and wine, come with admission.
