Respiratory Therapy Curriculum

The Bachelor degree program for Respiratory Therapy at Indiana University School of Medicine prepares students to work as registered respiratory therapists. The program provides curricular content related to the acquisition of skills in management, education and research to build student competence in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning domains of respiratory care practice.
Courses in this professional program are sequential and must be taken in the order specified by the program faculty.

Graduation Requirements

To qualify for graduation, Respiratory Therapy students must complete 120 credit hours of coursework, including 50 credit hours of prerequisite course work and 70 credit hours of professional course work. All course work must be completed in compliance with the program’s and school’s academic and professional policies.
