IU School of Medicine med students who are interested in gaining experience in radiation oncology can take advantage of third- and- fourth-year elective clerkship rotations available in Indianapolis. Opportunities include a Physic Program at IU Health University Hospital, a rotation at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, didactic conferences at IU Health Methodist and the VA Medical Center, and a Pediatric Radiation Oncology clerkship.
Opportunities for interprofessional collaboration are also available through these clerkships. Medical students work on a team that includes RNs, a Radiation Therapist, a Radiation Dosimetrist, Radiation Physicists, administrative personal, a Nutritionist, and colleagues in other medical specialties.
