FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS — On Aug. 30, the Indiana University Public Policy Institute will host the three candidates for governor of Indiana — Rex Bell, former Indiana Speaker of the House John Gregg and Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb — for a forum concerning critical issues now facing Indiana. The forum will be moderated by former Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Randall Shepard.
The event is the first time all three candidates for governor will speak at a function addressing a wide range of issues. The candidates will not be onstage at the same time.
The forum is a project of the IU Public Policy Institute’s Policy Choices Initiative, which recently released a report titled Thriving Communities, Thriving State. The report examines issues facing Indiana’s rural, midsized and urban areas and considers policy, progress and priorities using a place-based approach, gaining a nuanced perspective about our population and economy.
