INDIANAPOLIS — Yohlunda Mosley has been appointed director of undergraduate admissions at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, effective Jan. 4, announced Rebecca E. Porter, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management.

Mosley, who has 10 years of student-recruitment experience at large research universities, has been senior associate director of undergraduate admissions at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2012, said Porter.

Previously, she served the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as coordinator of multicultural outreach and special programs and director of high school recruitment and community relations from 2005 to 2012.

“Yohlunda Mosley brings a distinctive professional experience that is characterized by the creation of innovative programs; the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and administrators from both student and academic affairs; and a strong commitment to diverse student populations,” said Kathy Johnson, interim executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer.

In her post at IUPUI, Mosley will help lead efforts to enhance the quality of the IUPUI student body and the overall educational experience by cultivating, recruiting and enrolling well-prepared and diverse students.

“I look forward with tremendous enthusiasm to being part of a team implementing outstanding enrollment management initiatives at IUPUI,” Mosley said.

Mosley received a bachelor’s in journalism and mass communication and a master’s in higher education commission from the University of Iowa at Iowa City.
