INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Graduate Office will use a speedy format to offer tips to students on how to apply successfully for admission to graduate programs and professional schools.
“Accelerate Acceptance: The Secrets to Graduate Admissions Speed Sessions” will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 12 at the Center for Leadership and Development, 2425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. in Indianapolis. The event is open to students interested in applying to graduate school at any college or university.
In this free session, students will sit at tables. Admission experts from IUPUI and other area universities will move from table to table every six to eight minutes to offer insider tips on a range of topics, including:
Letters of recommendation
GRE test preparation
The difference between undergraduate and graduate school
As a follow-up to Speed Sessions, the Graduate Office will present a “Graduate School Boot Camp,” an in-depth workshop on topics related to applying for admission to graduate and professional schools. The boot camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 21 at the IUPUI Campus Center.
