The answers to these questions and many more can be found in “State of the School 2011,” an updated slide presentation available for review on the Web page for D. Craig Brater, M.D., dean of the IU School of Medicine and vice president for university clinical affairs at IU.
“We want to provide an up-to-date snapshot of the status of the school’s activities training tomorrow’s physicians and medical researchers, conducting research and treating patients,” Dr. Brater said.
“It’s important to make these facts easily accessible to all, and to let people see important benchmarks for the school, both in terms of trends over time and in comparison with other schools of medicine,” he said.
The IU School of Medicine is the second largest school of medicine in the country, ranked by number of medical students, with eight regional campuses across the state in addition to the main campus at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
