<p>Dean T. Maglinte, M.D., professor of radiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, is the recipient of the 2008 Walter Bradford Canon Medal, a lifetime achievement award presented by the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists for outstanding contribution to gastrointestinal radiology. He received the recognition at an annual meeting in February.</p>

Dr. Maglinte also was presented with the society’s Richard Marshak International Lecturer Award in 2006. That year, he also was honored by the Indiana Radiological Society with a Gold Medal Award.
