This months' employee highlight is our very own Del Anthony Warren, Clinical Research Business Manager. Always wearing a big smile and an even bigger beard he is a formidable presence in our hallways and labs and a delight to work with.
Q: How long have you been with IU?
From my undergrad years spent in Bloomington, through my laboratory years with IUH and IUSM, I have been around for almost 18 years!
Q: What is your favorite part about your position?
My favorite part is being on the cutting edge laboratory science. We have the opportunity to help shape the future of diagnostic platforms to better serve the patient population.
Q: What's a fun fact about you?
During my undergraduate years in Bloomington, I was also accepted into the IU Jacob’s School of Music for Opera and musical composition. Even though it was not classified as my major, I was able to study under two great mentors and was commissioned to compose song cycles for faculty recitals.
Q: What has been your proudest moment in your time with the department?
Working alongside Rebecca Buckner, Sally Atcheson, our diverse team of PIs, and incredible technical staff to build our group into an internationally recognized research team.
Q: Where would you like to travel first once it is safe to do so?
Hands down, I would love to travel to Italy.
Q: What is your absolute favorite food?
That is quite a tough one to answer… but, even when I am not hungry, I always seem to have room for enchiladas!
Q: Do you have a favorite Department of Pathology memory?
I would have to say the Holiday party our group has towards the end of the year. With our group being spread across 3 campuses, it is always wonderful when we can all come together to celebrate our accomplishments.
