Logan Krehbiel is joining the department as a Student Research Assistant with Dr. Sandusky. Logan isa junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering (B.M.E) at Trine University. Logan is joining us after being unable to join last summer due to the Covid-19 hiring freeze. He joined the team on May 10th. He lovesplaying volleyball and played throughout high school, going undefeated and winning the statechampionship his senior year. |

Rebekah Addison is joining the department as a Student Research Assistant in Dr. George Sandusky’slab. Rebekah is currently a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology at IUPUI. She joined the team May 17th after having been an intern in Dr. Sandusky’s lab through the Life-Health Sciences Internship(LHSI) program. One of her favorite hobbies is riding horses at her parent’s farm. |

Bryce Selman is joining the department as a Student Research Assistant. He will continue working inDr. Sandusky’s lab where he has been for the past year through the Life-Health Sciences Internship(LHSI) program. He officially joined the team on May 10th. Bryce is working to complete his degrees in Biology, B.S., and Medical Humanities & Health Studies, B.A., at IUPUI. After graduation in May 2023, Bryce will attend medical school to eventually pursue primary care. In his free time, Bryce enjoys putting puzzles together, reading on the canal, and watching the latest TV shows. |

Gabriela (Gaby) Riera is joining the department as a Clinical Research Specialist with Dr. Benson.Gaby started her career in Clinical Research here at IU in the Endocrinology Department. She worked in Endocrinology for seven years. Gaby is from Argentina, but has lived in the US for twenty years. She is the mother of two beautiful girls, Sofia and Camila. Both girls have graduated from IU. Gaby’s hobbies include traveling and yoga. |

Rebecca Liu is joining the department as an Undergraduate Research Assistant with Dr. Hao for the summer. Rebecca is a senior at Purdue University triple majoring in Brain and Behavioral Sciences, Law and Society, and Political Science. |

Daniel Konig is joining the department as an intern under Dr. Sandusky. Daniel will be a Junior at Indiana University Bloomington this upcoming fall where he is pursuing a double major in Chemistry and Biology. He is very interested in the medical field and hopes to become a physician-scientist. Daniel joined the team on May 24th. Other than academics, Daniel enjoys going to the gym and reading. |

Micaela “Micky” Richter is joining the department as the Executive Assistant to Dr. Cummings. Micky completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Economics at IU Bloomington. She was the administrative assistant in the Latino Studies Program at IU Bloomington. She transferred on May 24 and looks forward to life in the big city. |
